Let's try this.
I tried several times prior to Christmas to post and the computer at work would not allow it.
Had the flu over the holiday.
Now I'm back and raring to go!
Miss me?!

Yeah, it works! Post more! Post more!
hi
I've learned a new phrase, thanks to the flu you had.
"raring to go"
I don't think I have seen or heard anyone use that expression before.
Seriously, David?
Typically it's pronounced "rarin'" without the 'g' but it means I'm just at the starting line reving my engine to get the race started.
Now that I'm back, I'm rarin' to get things posted - up an running.
Glad to share some of my small town American lingo with ya'll out west!
I am not a native speaker, and I sometimes miss expressions. Didn't start speaking English till I was almost 15.
Thefreedictionary.com has it listed as an idiom, so I suspect it is more colloquial and spoken than written, so when I heard it before, I probably assumed it to be "ready to go."
People tend to get too lazy to enunciate words around here and I probably (not prolly) assumed that was the case.
"ready to go" works.
And I'd say around here probably comes out more like 'problee'
Ah, language, it's an amazing thing, huh?
YES!
